THE CARPENTERS CUPBOARD

On August 1, 2011 we assumed operations at "The Carpenters Cupboard" located on 44th Avenue between Wadsworth and Kipling in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Donations are needed in the form of financial gifts, food (perishable and non-perishable), clothing and other tangible items.

Volunteers are needed Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

LOCATION:
Event will take place in front of Denver City Hall, between 14th and Colfax on Bannock Street. 
 
VOLUNTEERS:
Set Up Crews:
8:00am to 11:00am

Servers:
11:00am to 6:00pm
(we will feed from noon until 6:00pm)

Clean Up Crew:
6:00pm to 7:00pm

ITEMS NEEDED:
Food of all kinds, salads, desserts, casseroles, paper products, large trash bags, aluminum foil, plastic ware
 
Our financial need for this event is $15,000 to cover permits, rentals, insurance, food, meter closures, etc..

5/18/12 - Prayer request from A: Pray that God delivers D from the sin of adultery. Pray that God builds a hedge around D, so that there is a loss of interest, and the other woman departs and leaves him. Pray that God allows D to humble himself & seek to walk in God's plan for his life. Pray that God restores the marriage between A & D. For what God joins together, let no one separate. Pray that God teaches D how to love because love is patient, love is kind, and love never fails. Allow this miracle to be a testimony that God answers prayers and that He will bless us indeed and enlarge our territory.

5/8/12 - Prayer request from Sami: I am 21 years old and I have a prayer request to make for my mum & papa Anuj. My mum had a horrible life of abuse & just a few years ago finally met her true soulmate, my now papa. we are such a happy small family! But the British High Commission officer is stopping my papa from coming to live with us in London because he didn't add a document to the checklist, even though he submitted the document with the whole file! He's in India right now & the money we all saved for our 1st house is slowly going because of legal fees & rent in India. I know that Jesus wants us to be happy and I need your support to make it happen.It's tearing us all apart. If something doesn't happen in 10days we'll have to leave India without him & we can't bear it. I don't know what to do anymore & I don't know why this happening to us. Please, please pray that my papa can come to live with us in London?

4/27/12 - Prayer request from Ozene:  I lost my mother and father and my kids mother is sick. she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and suffers from multiple health problems. My health is also not that good we are both on disability and have two kids that I love with all my heart. I get up in much pain every morning and have to hide my pain. I take care of everything I can so that my kids and there mother don't have to stress and hide all the pain, stress and worry pray that that my kids are healthy and that there mom gets better.Our car is breaking down and the money is gone, doctors appt. are everywhere. And the prayer that I'm asking for is hope and strength.

4/23/12 - Prayer request from LD: I had an argument with my best friend and I hurt him. I have repeatedly tried to apologize, make it up to him etc., but he refuses to even talk to me, take my calls, or forgive me. I feel terribly sad and sick about our estragnement. I have asked the Lord to forgive me. Please pray that the Lord will open my friend's heart to forgive me. Pray that the spirit of forgiveness will fill my friend's heart.
4/18/12 - Prayer request from Carolyn: I am just asking for prayer. I am trying to get into an eating disorder treatment facility and I really need my insurance to say yes and pay for RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT. I need help with alot of trauma, my eating disorder, agoraphobia, depression, and anxiety. I want a life. I want to start a family. I want to get better! And I also need help with our finances. Since there is also some out of pocket expenses - plane ticket and out of pocket max before insurance will pay. I am very sick and need help & healing from this disorder and many other issues. I hoping to fly from Minnesota to Nevada to get help this next Monday. I am scared and beyond petrified. Also flying is scary for me. And I am not very mobile. I also have a ton of medical problems. I need healing. And I need the right place to take me in and get me the help I need. And if I do get in to this place in Nevada - I am REALLY going to need prayer for God to help me stay out there and really get the right help I need and not be so homesick and want to go home right away. And we really need prayer for our finances. I never wanted to be a burden on my husband and be this sick. Thank you so much.
4/16/12 - Prayer request from Nicolas: Please pray that God would restore and bless my friendships with both of my dear friends, Dani (and her Salvation) and Rebecca. They have been my closest friends, and I have been struggling emotionally from the idea of losing these years-long friendships. I have I believe in God's ability to bring healing to these friendships of mine to healthy levels with prayer and ask you'd join me in this effort.
3/17/12 - Prayer request from Praveenkumar: For 2 years my wife has been suffering with evil spirits, previously she had been very prayerful, since those 2 years she has not been interested in praying and staying with me, and has attempted suicide 5 times. I have 2 little children, please pray for us, my wife's name is Swathi. In the name of Jesus I believe God to solve my problem soon. Thanks & regards.
