Set Up Crew: 9:00am
Servers: 12:00 noon to 6:00pm
(We will feed from 12 noon until the line ends at 6:00pm)
Clean Up Crew: 6:00pm to 9:00pm
We need to raise $15,000 for each Thanksgiving Dinner held each year on the second Saturday of November
Started in 1995 by David Clifton of David Clifton Ministries, Inc. (dba World for Jesus International). This
event is held every 2nd Saturday of November. Event will take place in front of Denver City Hall, between 14th and Colfax on Bannock. This event joins metro area churches, businesses and families in reaching out to several thousand homeless and needy families each year to provide them hot food and essentials for comfort and survival. We need your help in the following areas:
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to feed over 15,000 people, cover all city permits, insurance, rentals, additional food items, meter closures, etc.

What Time Does It Take Place?
We start feeding at 12:00noon. We will serve food from 12:00noon until 6:00pm
Where Is It Located?
Location will be in front of City Hall in downtown Denver. Also known as the Denver City and County building, it is located between 14th and Colfax on Bannock Street.
What Are The Areas Where We Can Volunteer?
We are in need of food servers, cooks, evangelists, set up and cleanup crews, hair cutters, singers, artists, intercessors, manicurists, preachers and servants for food box and toiletry item assembly, and clothing distribution
When Do We Need To Be There?
9:00 am Set Up Crews
Includes Table and Chair Set ups in the street. Trash can distribution. Stage and sound set up. Kitchen set up and all other set up
12:00noon – 6:00pm All crews. May be done in shifts every two hours, or you can attend all day.
6:00pm – 9:00pm Clean Up Crews Scan the City Block, in front of City Hall and Civic Center Park near where event was held for trash pickup and removal. Tear down of all tables and chairs. Tear down of stage and sound equipment. Take any leftover items back to food bank.
How Can We Volunteer?
You can contact us at our ministry office at (303) 893-8363, or David Clifton at (720) 470-6330. Or you can just show up on the day of the event and look for the Volunteer Table, or ask for David.
What Can We Bring?
We are asking that all volunteers bring any food in large disposable buffet tins, already cooked and prepared. We are also asking for any of the following items (cooked):
Hot Meats: Turkeys, Chicken, Meatloaf, Lamb, Wild Game, Etc.
Condiments: Gravy, Spices, Salt and Pepper Packets, Butter, Etc.
Side Dishes: Salads, Vegetables, Casseroles, Soups, Etc.
Desserts: Pies, Cakes, Ice Cream, Cookies, Fudge, Brownies, Breads, Etc.
Drinks: Tea, Coffee, Pop, Kool-Aid, Lemonade, Hot Chocolate, Etc.
Heavy Duty Paper Products: Paper Plates, Plastic Silverware, Napkins, Bowls, and Cups
Kitchen Items: Large Serving Utensils, Spoons, Carving Knifes, Aluminum Foil, Large Buffet Tins
Other Items: Large Heavy Duty Trash Bags, , Large Plastic Table Coverings, Sanitary Hand Wipes
Toiletry Items: For men we are in need of small bottles of shaving cream, disposable razors, mouth wash, floss, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, and toilet paper and deodorant. For women, we are in need of the same items, along with feminine hygiene products.
Clothing Items: Diapers, Winter Jackets, Gloves, Shirts, Thermal Underwear, Stocking Hats, and Jeans
What does it Cost to hold this event each year in downtown Denver?
We must secure Street Occupancy Permits from the City of Denver in advance of each year’s event. We must also close meters, secure insurance, provide stoves, rentals, port-a-lets, and many other items to make it successful. The cost for each Thanksgiving Outreach event is $15,000.00
Can We Make A Financial Donation and Is It Tax Deductable?
